Graphing Calculators
- TI- Series Calculators - If you are returning to school after a long absence, this site might be helpful. It give step by step instructions on how to use the TI series
calculators. I never learned this in high school or college, so when I went back to school, I found myself at a disadvantage. You simply choose which type calculator you have, and you receive the correct instructions. This site even has links to download the newest operating systems for each type calculator.
- Video - Basics for using the TI calculators. This starts with a very basic explanation. You will need to register for metacafe.com and have Real video player.
- Website that contains a list of web links to sites on how to use the graphing calculators. There are some excellent sites that give very specific functions. This website
contains links for other related mathematics website from Pre-K to college level.
College Algebra Videos
- Tallahassee Community College - Videos on subjects covered in college algebra, including how to use a graphing calculator. (must have a Real Player)
- Mathtv.com - Starts with very basic subjects, and then progresses through higher level subjects. Multiple videos on each subject, and with different instructors.
- Learner.org - Contains 26 videos on various college algebra sections. Most of these videos are production videos and not just a teacher talking about the subject. Click
the small icon to play the videos.
Statistics Videos
- Excel is Fun - NEW! These YouTube videos are done by a professor at a Community College, This link is to introductory video, but he has over 1200 videos covering
everything that can possibility be done in Excel, but the subjects are explained as well. He explains how to find them by subject, but here are just a few of the Statistics Videos he offers:
- Learner.org - Contains 26 videos on statistics, and focuses on how statistics can be used in everyday life.
- Onlinemathlearning.com - Contains videos on many subjects, including mode, median, mean, range, pictograms, bar charts, pie charts, frequency tables, cumulative
frequency, standard deviation, random variable, probability density functions, binomial distribution, and more.....
