subject located at multiple sites such as WebMed, Yahoo, etc. which makes your research easier.

Free Class Videos - This site has links to some major universities that have submitted videos of full courses.  Includes a full course in Human
Disease, which is more in depth than HIM disease classes, but very interesting.

.
  • Videos (Requires Flash Plug-in version 6 or higher)
  • Home page of Medline PlusLinks to health topics, drugs, procedures, graphics, etc

EMedicine - This website has information on disease, drugs, and medical news.

MERCK MANUALS

  • MERCK MEDICUS—a Professional Site—The  information explains in a great detail and uses professional vocabulary.  This site is
meant to be used by doctors, nursing, and other health care professionals.  It requires you to  setup an account, and asks for a
professional license number.  I used my account number through American Health Information Management Association which
allows me access to most of the information.  There are some parts of the site that are restricted to physicians only.   It is the most
complete site that I have found on the web.
  • MERCK MANUAL FOR HEALTHCARE PROVIDERSGeared to healthcare professionals.  It is a little easier to understand than the
MERCK MEDICUS, and has a great deal of information on disease, procedures, drugs, etc.

MedicineNet.com—a website that targets medical consumer, but has enough detailed information to be a helpful study aid.

Mayo Clinic

WebMD—This website targets medical consumers, but is detailed enough to be a good study aid.

Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) - General information and statistical information for some diseases.

University of Minnesota—Practice test and games

Bio-Alive— This is online video sharing community, designed to watch, and  share life science related videos.  This site has many videos on a
variety of subjects including, Anatomy, Cell Biology, Histology, Pharmacology, Pathology, etc.  Also contains some learning games.

E-Medicine by Medscape  - Each article contains a section titled "Pathophysiology", which could be very helpful to students and coders.  The
site is billed as being a Continually Updated Clinical Reference" and has 10,000 Physician Contributors.  I did find more detailed information
on some subject than was found in other references.

Cleveland Clinic Disease Management Project - This is another great site!  It provides the nationally established treatment guidelines, but the
information is available for a limited number of diseases.   The information is some of the most complete, easy to understand information
that I have seen.

An introduction to Human Disease Pathology and Pathophysiology Correlations- 6th edition-  Another Google online book with a limited view,
but with great information.  You can go to Google Books and search for your subject and get a list of books to view that may contain you
